Fruitcake Cookie Recipe
A recipe for fruitcake cookies with a unique flavor in every bite!

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups to 2 1/2 dried fruit pieces
- A pinch of powdered sugar
Combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy.
Add eggs and blend until smooth.
Blend in flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, toss dried fruit pieces with a pinch of powdered sugar. (This is important for keeping the pieces from sticking together!)
Stir dried fruit pieces into batter until evenly distributed.
Drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Remove from cookie sheet to cool.
