Does your bathroom stink? I bet it does. At least some of the time. And, if you have boys, chances are it stinks most of the time. Fortunately, there is a DIY bathroom deodorizer that is both cheap and easy to make!
DIY Bathroom Deodorizer
A friend of mine told me about this little miracle worker about a year ago and I have been using it ever since. It only has one ingredient…rubbing alcohol. That’s it.
Isopropyl alcohol, more commonly referred to as rubbing alcohol, is something most of us have in our home in case we need it for first aid. But rubbing alcohol can be used in many other ways, including as a deodorizer.
Plain old rubbing alcohol doesn’t have the greatest smell though. The wintergreen variety smells wonderful! I bought a small spray bottle and just poured some in.
After cleaning, I spray it around where the toilet meets the floor. This helps get rid of the funky smell that always seems to accumulate there. I use a paper towel to wipe the area down afterward and then throw the paper towel in the bathroom trashcan. This keeps our bathroom smelling fresh for hours.
If you give this DIY bathroom deodorizer a try, don’t forget to keep it away from children.
